HSBCAMPS Dribbles into Park City with an All-Star Coach Line-Up and a Mission to Give Back
HSBCAMPS and HSBCARES Partner with Non-Profit HOOPS 4 HOPE; Coaches Prepare for a Trip to South Africa in Summer 2010

SAN DIEGO, CA, January 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- From June 7 - 10, 2010, HSBCAMPS will hit the courts of Park City High School in Park City, Utah, to lead four-day Morning Clinics and Day Camps geared towards teaching and developing the fundamentals of basketball for boys and girls in grades kindergarten through 12. From group drills and individual contests, to team competitions and guest lectures, players will participate in over 15 hours of instructional work with the HSBCAMPS staff, comprised of collegiate and professional coaches and players.

Since its inception in 2007, HSBCAMPS has prided itself as a youth basketball program that not only provides individualized coaching from an all-star line-up of pros, but also as a program dedicated to giving back to communities locally and abroad. With more than $25,000 raised to date, HSBCAMPS stands firm in its commitment to provide every child, regardless of age or income, with an opportunity to attend camp. In an effort to continue its pledge, HSBCAMPS recently announced its partnership with HSBCARES, INC.*, a non-profit organization that will help maximize the HSBCAMPS' ability to give back to the basketball community. Now, the HSB family is proud to announce its global partnership with the not-for-profit organization, HOOPS 4 HOPE (H4H), of South Africa and Zimbabwe. H4H is a leader in providing sustainable and innovative programs for the empowerment and positive change of youth in disadvantaged communities through basketball, skills and life programs in southern Africa. Every year, H4H gives more than 10,000 school-age children in South Africa and Zimbabwe a better chance to beat the odds in communities plagued by poverty, HIV/AIDS, drugs and crime.

"Our partnership with HSBCARES and HOOPS 4 HOPE will allow us to not only continue helping those in the United States, but children in Africa as well," explains Carson Sofro, founder, HSBCAMPS. "In addition to supporting the fundraising effort, we are planning to take our HSBCAMPS staff to South Africa to run a basketball camp in late summer 2010."

Founded in 1995, H4H combines the joy of sports programs with youth-friendly curriculum that promotes leadership and responsibility, while empowering youngsters to thrive in the big leagues of life. Both H4H and HSBCAMPS are committed to support communities locally and globally, and share the mission to positively influence the lives of young people through basketball. With the help of the youth and coaches at HSBCAMPS, H4H will have the resources to further develop its programs in Africa. To learn more about H4H, visit http://www.hoopsafrica.org.
